Barrister Hooks IT professional – Ibukun & Akin Are Getting Married
This sweet journey began about 5 years ago.
Surprisingly, their first meeting was almost fleeting. One evening in 2004, after a brief swimming session in Ibadan, Akin extemporaneously ran into Ibukun on his way home. They had a brief chat and that was all.
About two (2) years after, in 2006, they met a second time and had a really long chat.
Then, the unexpected happened.
Nobody ever expected that this little, unnoticed spark could set Akin’s heart on fire.
Akin was only an IT student at the time he met the Barrister in-the-making, Ibukun. They got extremely close so fast. It was unlike any other relationship they ever had. Their intimacy happened as if they suddenly found something they had been looking for all their lives.
Little wonder, these words were easy to say,
"Here is someone like me! She is part of my body, my own flesh and bones. She came from me, a man” (Genesis 2:23 CEV).
In September 2006, Akin could not conceal his already reeling emotions any longer. He had to open up to the alluring damsel.
For Ibukun, this was an expected shock but she was amazed by the courage with which the man spoke to her. Up till today, she hasn’t recovered from that ‘display of manly confidence’. She often says, “I could not resist the confidence with which Akin asked me out”.
With complete trust in Akin, she agreed,
At once, the little fire began to burn very brightly. Akin’s attention centered completely on Ibukun alone.
In simple words, the Barrister in-the-making who has always been a beauty queen gradually filled up the entirety of Akin’s life. The little flame of that first evening eventually turned into a wild fire.
Today, our IT professional’s heart burns for his gorgeous Barrister. It is quite amazing that they could wait for five years to prove to the whole world that this is real and will last.
God heard their heart cry from His holy tabernacle, and He has decided to join them together as one to live happily ever after.
Now, they can officially begin the journey of a lifetime; a journey that only has a beginning but no known end.
